Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is beneficial for learners who are looking to:

Develop or increase gross motor and fine motor skills

Support sensory processing and parent/caregiver capacity for understanding sensory needs

Build adaptive strategies for and utilize equipment/materials to successfully complete everyday tasks

Increase independence with task completion and build caregiver capacity to support independence

All occupational therapy is conducted by an OT registered in Ontario under the College of Occupational Therapists. Occupational therapy is covered under the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding program as well as many private insurance policies. Occupational therapy can be conducted on a 1:1 basis, or through an interdisciplinary approach in collaboration with our ABA team. Parent/caregiver/support staff involvement is an integral part of occupational therapy.
