Group ABA Programs:

Are you looking for opportunities for your child to increase or enhance their communication, social and/or play skills? Our center based group ABA programs offer opportunities to learn and practice skills with peers alike.

Group Programs are offered at the following:

Mississauga Location: 6245 Mississauga Rd. Mississauga ON (Luso)
Greater Hamilton Location: 12 Barton St. Waterdown, ON (AC Family Room)

All group ABA programs are supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Group ABA programs are covered under the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding program. Group durations range anywhere from 4 weeks up to 16 weeks, depending on the type of program. Some programs require parent participation.

Mississauga Group ABA Programs:

ABA Academy – Mississauga (Luso Location)

The ABA Academy is a classroom based program for individuals ages 3-6 years. Individuals will focus on group learning strategies, communication, social skills and academic based lessons.  The program links the ABLLS-R to the Ontario Curriculum for Grades JK-Grade 1. The program is supervised by a BCBA®. Consultation with a speech therapist, occupational therapist and/or psychologist is optional. If a child does not meet the criteria for group learning, 1:1 support in the classroom is also optional depending on staffing.

Children’s Friendship Club – Mississauga (Luso Location)

Children’s Friendship Training is a 13 week program designed to support children learn valuable skills such as initiating conversations with others and making and maintaining meaningful friendships with the focus on generalization across school and home environments. This adapted 8 session training program integrates families into the intervention by providing families with resources like handouts and applied activities to practice at home! The program is supervised by a BCBA®.

Target Ages: Children 6-8 years old who have difficult making or maintaining friendships
Parents Required: No
Group ratio: Minimum 3:1, max 5:1 (parents and child) 
Cost of Program: $780

Dates: Weekdays sessions/2h sessions per week. Begins January 2023. Registration to open December 2023.

Healthy Buddies Program – Mississauga (Luso Location)


This 13 week program is designed to help children learn important life skills related to physical and mental health. The three areas of focus will be on nutrition, physical health and mental health. Examples of lessons will include kitchen safety, learning about healthy foods and preparing healthy foods, participating in movement routines, exercises and meditation, learning about mindfulness and emotional intelligence. The program is supervised by a BCBA®.

Target Ages: Children 6-9, 10-14
Parents Required: No
Group ratio: Minimum 3:1, max 5:1 (parents and child) 
Cost of Program: $780

Dates: Weekdays sessions/2h sessions per week. Begins January 2023. Registration to open December 2023.

Afterschool Homework Club – Mississauga (Luso Location)

Learning how to learn in a group! The program is supervised by a BCBA® and runs for 13 weeks. Using Language for Learning curriculum, participants will learn group skills like: 

  • Focusing and shifting attention appropriately to people, items, tasks

  • Following instructions and responding in a larger group 

  • Increasing cooperation and collaboration with peers and educators 

Target Ages: Children 4-6, 7-9
Parents Required: No
Group ratio: Minimum 3:1, max 5:1 (parents and child) 
Cost of Program: $780

Dates: Weekdays sessions/2h sessions per week. Begins January 2023. Registration to open December 2023.

Hamilton Group ABA Programs:

Stay, Play and Talk (Adapted 4 Week Program)


Stay, Play and Talk is a program for preschool aged children who have limited play skills. This program focuses on parallel play by supporting children to play in close proximity to one another. Therapists will support your children to take notice of one another by promoting opportunities for sharing, looking at one another and engaging in individual play in proximity to other children. The program is supervised by a BCBA®.

Target Ages: Children ages 2-4, Children ages 5-7 with limited play skills

Baby Learning Club (6-12 months)


Using a program called the Carolina Curriculum, we will be supporting families and their babies to meet their milestones in areas like tummy time, seeking, communication beyond words and more! We will work with you to learn more about how to support the development of these fundamental skills and provide a safe space for families to connect with one another at similar stages in life! The program is supervised by a BCBA®.

Target Ages: 6-12 months
Parents Required: Yes Group ratio: Minimum 3:1, max 5:1 (parents and child)
Cost of program: $120

Dates: Tuesdays – November 22, November 29, December 6, December 13, 2022 from 9:15-10:15am

Toddler Learning Club (12-18 months)

Play Time/Social time (Adapted Siblings Group)


Join us after school for the The Play Time/Social Time adapted group. This is a social group designed with the family unit in mind. The social group focuses on the development of valuable skills such as interactive play, cooperative play with others, attending skills and communication with others. A unique aspect to this program is the focus on family inclusion, where siblings are able to attend the group and gain experience playing with their siblings with diverse learning needs while guided by a trained professional. Families will have the opportunity to learn how to foster a positive relationship between siblings in a safe and inclusive environment with the focus on generalization of skills to peer relationships. The program is supervised by a BCBA®.

Target Ages: Children ages 3-6 years old who engage in minimal positive and playful social interactions with their siblings

Group ratio: Maximum 4:1

This program is designed using the Children’s Friendship Training curriculum. Children will learn how to develop and maintain friendships. Skills such as sportsmanship, participating in social events and cooperation are targeted. The program is supervised by a BCBA®.

Target Ages: Children 6-8 years old who have difficulty making or maintaining friendships
