Summer Inclusion Olympics 2022

The Summer Inclusion Olympics was hosted at CanLan Sports Center in Mississauga on June 30, 2022 by the ACTN team in partnership with Autism Ontario Central West. Together, with community partners, we were able to welcome families for a fun fill day that included recreational activities, pizza & ice cream, balloon twisting and a special visit from Spiderman himself!

• The Academy of Martial Arts: The Academy of Martial Arts teaches karate, based around self defense, to kids, teens, and adults.
• RediFitness: REDI Fitness provides individualized and group fitness programs for the autism population and all abilities, as it can be a gateway to increasing other skills, creating short, intermediate and long-term benefits. Our main focus is to build basic physical skills, by demonstrating activities that promote strength, stability and motor planning. The overall goal is to teach our athletes basic movement skills that will increase activities of daily living. Services are provided 1 to 1 at the home of the athlete.
• North Mississauga Panther Stars Soccer: Established in 1982, the North Mississauga Soccer Club is a non-profit, volunteer directed, professionally managed community club providing year-round programs to players across Mississauga and surrounding communities.
• Jump Basketball: JUMP house league basketball is for kids and youth ages 6-16 in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Oakville, Vaughan and Milton. House leagues run for 1x each week for 8-9 weeks in fall, winter, spring and summer. Sessions are a mixture of 50% training and 50% organized game play.
• Mississauga Minors Ball Hockey: A league for ages 3 to 18 years olds in Mississauga.
