1:1 ABA Therapy
1:1 ABA therapy is beneficial for learners who are looking to:
Increase or enhance socially significant behaviours including but not limited communication skills, social skills, play skills hygiene skills, academic skills, cooperation skills, gross motor or fine motor skills
Decrease behaviours that impact learning or developing meaningful relationships such as self-injurious behaviour, aggression, property destruction and/or task-avoidance
Maintain skills learned in the past over time or generalize skills learned in one environment into others or with other people
All 1:1 ABA therapy is individualized and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). 1:1 ABA therapy is covered under the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding program. 1:1 ABA therapy varies across location, dosage and duration, and is individualized based on each client's needs. 1:1 ABA plans are developed at 13 or 26 weeks in duration and require a commitment of at least 3 hours per week/1 day per week. Parent/caregiver/support staff involvement is an integral part of 1:1 ABA therapy.
Potential participants will receive a free online or in person consultation to understand the needs of the client.

In-Home Therapy
ACTN offers home therapy to work on skills with parents/caregivers on skills that relate to home life, including:
- adaptive skills (e.g. eating, toilet training, handwashing, getting dressed)
- cooperation skills (e.g. following instructions, following routines)
- communication skills (e.g. requesting for items, asking for help)
- social, play & leisure skills (e.g. playing with siblings/parents, developing a leisure time routine)
- academic/homework skills (e.g. increasing motivation to complete homework, developing homework routines)
School/Daycare
ACTN offers 1:1 ABA therapy in alternative locations including schools, daycares and pre-schools. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the ACTN team will work with your child’s support team to support:
- pre-academic and academic skills (e.g. math skills, reading skills)
- group learning skills including cooperation, join attention & communication skills
- social and play skills (e.g. playing appropriately next to peers or cooperatively with peers)
- adaptive/hygiene skills (e.g. eating, toilet training, handwashing, getting dressed)
Community Support
ACTN offers 1:1 ABA therapy in alternative locations including camps, day programs, volunteer/workplaces. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the ACTN team will work with your child’s support team to support:
- Social skills (e.g. following group instructions)
- Vocational skills (e.g. interviews, creating a resume)
- Adaptive skills (e.g. taking the bus, using public restrooms)
- Cognitive skills (e.g. writing, reading, spelling)
Virtual
ACTN offers 1:1 ABA therapy online using Zoom conferencing. We provide 3 different levels of therapy:
Level 1: Curriculum Based Programming (1 hour per session)
Level 2: Focused ABA Programming (1.5 hours per session)
Level 3: Comprehensive ABA Programming (2 hours per session)
